Annie Russell is a ceramicist and painter based on the East Coast whose artistic practice delves deeply into themes of interconnectedness, transformation, cycles of death/rebirth, and the unseen forces that shape the world. Her work explores the blending of human and nonhuman realms, blurring boundaries to evoke a spiritual unity and a sense of collective existence. Drawing on dream revelations and mythological imagery, Russell invites viewers to reconsider nature not as a separate entity, but as a living, interconnected system to which we are all linked. Her work invites viewers to experience the profound connections that underlie existence and to reflect on practices to help us navigate and honor these invisible forces.
